Johnson Performance Horses located in Vancleave Mississippi is pleased to offer Quality Performance Horse Training, Professional Riding Instruction and Horse Clinic services. Owned and operated by Valerie and John Johnson, our mission is to provide the highest quality care, training and services for horses and their owners. No one loves horses more than we do and we'd like to share our passion with you!
Valerie is a trainer and clinician with 20 years professional experience, over 30 years of hands on experience and has had the privilege of teaching people from all over the world in a variety of disciplines. Although Valerie prefers to be the strength behind the scenes, aka "The "Trainers Trainer," she has competed up to the Grand Prix level in both Show Jumping and Dressage and has competed up to the World level in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle and Reining. Her greatest gift is the ability to teach others using compassion and support while acting as a catalyst to bridge the gap in communication between horse and rider. Valerie considers continuing education vital to her strength as a teacher and as such participates in many clinics and lessons throughout the year including courses in the latest advancements in Equine Care, Homeopathy, Massage and Nutrition.
Johnson Performance Horses is offering Reining Training and limited showing opportunities to clients and students. JPH lesson program utilizes Centered Riding principles which teaches the rider to improve their balance and talents through a total body awareness program. Riders are encouraged to use their own horses however upon acceptance to our program you may be eligible to use one of our fine horses. Lessons are generally private but childrens lessons can be done on a group basis provided all riders are at similar riding levels.
Horse Play Days are FREE at the Vancleave Arena every Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm...stop by and say HI!
